Well obviously. He's the Angel of Mercy so he's very forgiving. He's a hard one to make angry and he doesn't see the point or value in petty arguments. He tends to be very cut and dry, black and white when it comes to solving arguments and situations that need his input. Like most angels it's very hard for him to relate to humans and their assortment of needs and feelings. Though he tends to have a more firmer grasp on why they tend to do the things they do with that being the basis of forgiveness.
{Calm}
Asa is an archangel and has no issues fighting when he needs to. He has full control of his powers and therefore has never in his known existence known fear from something he couldn't easily and quickly kill. He isn't one to panic nor "talk smack" he's more of a quietly calm soul. He doesn't understand the feeling of needing to rush or panic it simply isn't in his nature.

There is nothing like Earth in Heaven. Everything is much stranger than he is accustomed to and he finds himself appreciating their world. He can marvel for hours at the simple beauty of a flower or the way a Mother holds her child. He finds that since being on Earth he breathes everything in like it's something that he truly needs to survive (though he obviously doesn't) like a fine food that he needs to savor before fully taking it in.

Asa is very good at reading people, it goes hand in hand with the whole mercy thing. Humans are a touch bit harder to read on Earth than in Heaven where he can literally sense and read their intent and emotion still he finds it usually fairly easy to pick up on things. Being an Archangel makes him especially keen to noticing things but even he is not immune to the spell casted on Mystic Falls.

Asa enjoys being around happiness and fun. While in Heaven he was working, his creation being due to a job and nothing more. On Earth he has found he can enjoy himself a bit more, he can relax and find things that make him laugh and smile. He has found he likes kids and animals in particular, he's found that when dealing with both their hearts are more open, kind and full of joy. He likes finding new things that interest him and challenge him, overall he's learning what it means to enjoy the human version of life.

HISTORY:
Asa came to be on Earth due to murmuring in Heaven. There was talk of a town that would be at the center of a cataclysmic event, one that needed watching and enforcing. Asa was sent as one among hundreds to the town of Mystic Falls. The Archangel of Mercy was needed to prevent as much bloodshed as possible, to influence humans to embrace their forgiving side. Asa had accepted the job of course and found himself in need of a vessel.
Angels, unlike demons, needed permission to enter their hosts and if that wasn't enough of a challenge Archangels needed particular hosts. Hosts that had been put on this Earth for this particular Angel alone. His host happened to be a young man named Asa Brentwood. Asa lost his family when he was a child, they had been hit by a drunk driver who had served a minor sentence before being released. Asa had been only 8 and he had forgiven the man, as clear and easily as breathing. The boy had grown up in a foster home on a ranch in Wyoming and learned the value of a hard day's work.
Asa had grown up a good man, never having any trouble with the law and in a constant state of doing the right thing. He was a hardworking young man with a fiance who he had been with for two years who he loved and was faithful to until the very second he allowed Zadkiel in. Asa's soul promptly went to Heaven and Zadkiel began his journey to the town of Mystic Falls.

Super Strength - As the first and most powerful angels, Archangels can exert or apply extreme immense amounts of physical force to people, objects, creatures, and beings.
Super Stamina - Archangels' vessels need nothing to maintain their strength, to strive, or operate, as they are self-sufficient. "Falling", or being banished doesn't affect their powers at all, whereas it causes normal angels to lose the ability to smite and heal.
Telekinesis - Archangels can move and otherwise exert force on matter with their mind.
Teleportation - Archangels can disappear and reappear anywhere that's not sigil-protected instantly.
Telepathy - Archangels can read and feel/sense the thoughts of humans. ( This is prevented with sigils, spells, etc)
