PERSONALITY:
The best way to describe Isabella is strength. With everything she went through in her former life, she had to be strong. She was used to being used by certain members of the Original family, but it wasn't all for not. She found her true self and power that she never expected she would ever have. Isabella is a very withdrawn woman until you get to really know her. Finding herself reborn into this century threw her for a loop and she had to learn to adapt quickly.
Being a witch, she was able to observe this side of the veil from the otherside, she knew how people tended to act, but it was still very different to come into it herself. She still has moments where she can't believe the things that people would do these days, she repels technology, having already broken four different cell phones in the little amount of time she has been back in this world. She can often be seen out and about town reading various books, trying to figure out just what brought her back.
When she isn't seen with her nose in a book she can be found in the woods observing nature and trying to commune with her ancestors. She is not originally from Mystic Falls, but her witch line was very close to the Bennet line, and she has been able to talk to them on occasion, but she still has not been able to figure out why she is back. Isabella once loved someone very much, so much in fact that it lead to her death. She never stopped loving him though, even though it caused her so much pain in the long run, she knew what real love felt like, and to be loved in return.

HISTORY:
Born just before the beginning of the 19th century, Isabella Le Moyne was born into a great purpose. Her family had been a part of the great city of New Orleans since its founding, and she had to live up to that family name from the beginning. Her mother had passed on magical genes to her daughter, passed down from one generation to the next for many years. Her parents were from Salem, and their ancestors had lost their lives in the Witch Trials. From a young age her mother taught her all she needed to know about witch craft, while her father rubbed elbows with the other high society members, and ran their plantation. As she grew of age, she became more powerful, and her mother told her she had to hide what she was, that there were people in the town that would hurt her or use her for even more nefarious purposes.
When she turned eighteen, she met the Mikaelsons a new family that had come to New Orleans, apparantly after a long absence of their family, supposedly the rumor was they had lived there in the late seventeenth century, well their ancestors anyway. She found the sister, Rebekah to be sweet at times, but she heard rumors the girl was rather...free with members of the opposite sex. Though Isabella was not one to judge her for that. The brother Elijah she found to be very charismatic and regal even. Niklaus terrified her, and she couldn't quite put her finger on why, there was just something strange and unsettling about his grin, and there was something behind his eyes that just scared her. Then there was Kol, who was dashing and kind to her, and just made her feel like she was the most important girl around. They became close and it was he who she told of her secret, the very first person she ever told.
Little did she know what that meant for her. Kol proceeded to tell her the truth of himself, and his siblings, and it took her awhile to accept that fact. It did explain a lot about their previous history with the city, and such, but it still was a lot for her to take in. She did accept it though, because she was growing to truly care for Kol. The two began to work together, he taught her more magic that even her mother never had been able to teach her. He needed her help in taking down his brother, and she was glad to do it, because she had fallen for the vampire, and he had for her. She along with some other witches Mary Alice and Astrid, worked together with Kol to try to turn one of the daggers to gold to bring Klaus down, however, they were found out, and only by luck did Isabella escape the fate that the other two witches were given. She was not locked away, however, something much worse was coming her way.
She was walking home one evening when she was grabbed by two vampires, who brought her to the home of the Mikaelson's. It was there that Niklaus decided to punish Kol, not only by daggering him and sticking him in a box for a few decades, but by taking away his love from him too. Isabella. While Elijah held Kol, Niklaus held her in front of him, her eyes were on Kol's, and then Niklaus snapped her neck, dropping her body to the floor just before driving the dagger into his brothers heart. Isabella found herself on the other side of the viel, looking over them all as Niklaus stuffed his brother in his coffin, and Elijah took her body away to her parents. Their lie was that she and Kol had been out riding and she had fallen, snapping her neck. That Kol was in far too much grief and had left the town. Her parents buried her in their family crypt and that was that. Or should have been.
Over a century later, she awoke in the cemetery in Mystic Falls. How, she still had no clue, nor did she know why. Though now that she is back in town she is trying to figure out what the purpose of her being here again is. Did someone do something to have her brought back for a purpose? What purpose was that? She still did not know.
